为什么是叫‘勿踫我呢？ 根据资料显示，
非洲鳳仙花花期長，盛花期在秋季至春季。果實為綠色蒴果，完全成熟時，只要輕輕一碰，果莢即裂開，蹦彈出比芝麻粒還小的種子；有時果莢未完全成熟，稍加碰觸到，亦會爆開，故有個有趣的英文名字叫「勿踫我」（African Touch-me-not）。
